In the heart of Genoa's historic center, B&B La Maddalena welcomes you in a seventeenth-century building, where Riccardo and Sabrina provide hospitality in a renovated apartment that retains the charm of typical Genoese homes. The accommodation is perfect for those wishing to explore the city, being just a short walk from key attractions: the Old Port and the Genoa Aquarium are only 5 minutes away on foot, as are Piazza De Ferrari and the Palazzo Ducale. Via Garibaldi, renowned for its famous museums, is just a minute away, making the B&B an ideal starting point to discover the beauty of Genoa.

The rooms, located on the fourth floor without an elevator, have been updated to create a comfortable and well-maintained environment. Guests can choose from various configurations: single occupancy, double, or triple, with the option to add a bed for children. Each room comes with a private bathroom, either en suite or external, depending on the selection.

Guests have access to a common area equipped with a fridge, Wi-Fi, and cable connections, perfect for a relaxing break or enjoying a coffee. A hearty breakfast featuring local flavors is available as an additional service upon request. Furthermore, the establishment provides informational and tourist materials to help you plan your stay.

Guests will receive the keys to the B&B, allowing for complete independence regarding return times. Luggage can be stored until departure, ensuring that every moment of the vacation is fully enjoyed.

As breakfast we offer based on customer requests: milk, various types of tea, coffee (we have the machine with various capsules including cappuccino, long coffee etc), juice, yoghurt on request soy milk / rice / oats, different types of cookies also typical of Genoa, rusks, jam / honey, bread and often focaccia and brioches. For the time you can agree with the managers or you can do it yourself.

Sabrina is an exceptional host who truly goes above and beyond to make her guests feel welcome. Our room was not only incredibly comfortable but also impeccably clean, providing a relaxing and cozy atmosphere. Although the bathroom is located outside the room, it is exclusively for your use, offering privacy and convenience. The accommodation is perfectly situated in the heart of the city’s historical center, making it easy to explore the area. Great quality/price ratio and very close to the train station. The apartment had all we needed and was well maintained. The only downside is the kind of shady street but the price reflects this.

B&B La Maddalena is very cute, with a beautiful and relaxing terrace on the roof! It's worth climbing the stairs to the 5th or 6th floor, where the B&B is located. The building itself is interesting, there is some noise from the streets, but everything as can be expected in the city center of Genova. It couldn't be better located if you plan to stay in the Old City. A small kitchen with fridge and coffee machine is also available, our room was very spacious and everything was clean.

A superb place to explore Genoa like a local! The location is within 10-15 minutes walk from the central railway station, and just 5 minutes away from the Ancient Port. The hosts are very friendly and helpful, and the room itself was impeccably clean and nice, with a great option to climb the stairs to the rooftop and to enjoy a marvelous view from there.

Ideal for uncomplicated travelers who appreciate sharing the house with a lovely family happy to provide insider information and who love the charm of old buildings in a very old and narrow lane. Some nights the streets are quiet, some not: in that case close the windows. All historical sights and the sea/aquarium are within walking distance.

Very nice Bed and Breakfast, very central. We were very well welcomed by Sabrina, who took the time to make recommendations in the city and prepared us an excellent breakfast. The only downside of this accommodation is that it overlooks a noisy street with bars and traffic all night long.

Sabrina is an attentive and energetic host. She gives excellent advice on visiting the city, finding a nice restaurant, or buying quality regional products. The four floors are exhausting, but the rooms are pleasant, as is the small terrace, which is very convenient for smokers! The only negative note: the neighborhood. Located in the old streets of the old port, which has undeniable charm, La Maddalena street is rather noisy (especially on weekends) because of the Latin bars and the women who work there... Otherwise, the B&B is very good!

The accommodation is in a very good area, close to the train station, metro, bus stops. There are also supermarkets, pharmacy, cafes, and restaurants right on the main street. The room is spacious, with a very comfortable double bed for a good rest and the bathroom is external but private, it has everything for a good stay. Highlight the kindness of the owners who at all times ensured that nothing was missing and made my stay more comfortable.

Central location, very convenient and full of character (in the heart of the alleys), and relatively quiet. Close to the metro, and therefore to the port and Principe station. Spacious room and clean bathroom outside the room. Breakfast average but provided. Host extremely helpful and kind. Positive note for the many books, brochures and guides available in the common areas.

I stayed two nights in this accommodation with my children aged 5 and 9. Located in a central position, it takes 5 minutes on foot to reach the center and the aquarium. The accommodation is very clean, the owners are kind and welcoming, we had a great time. I recommend it if you want to experience living in the heart of Genoa. Along the street, there are establishments run by foreigners, but we never had any problems.

The room is located in an apartment with a common area that can be accessed by other guests who have a room with an external bathroom and the owners themselves who live there. The room is very spacious with vintage furniture, while the bathroom is modern. The floor creaks a bit and the shower door has issues. On the plus side, the owner is very helpful. The location is really great even though the 4 flights of stairs are noticeable.

Accommodation in a central structure, refined and in a beautiful and elegant building. The two rooms are in one wing of the owners' apartment. The bathroom is external to the room in my case, but quite convenient. Heating, WiFi, television, ample space, kettle with tea/herbal teas, etc. Ideal for those who want to visit the ancient and authentic center of Genoa and for those who do not have problems with the street, Via della Maddalena, a bit "lively". A short walk from the central station (trains to Camogli, Cinque Terre, Bogliasco, Nervi, etc.) and from the cathedral, Columbus' house, Piazza de Ferrari, the Rolli palaces, the port.

I needed to stay at the property for four weeks and already at the time of my arrival, the couple Sabrina and Riccardo expressed their incredible hospitality with enthusiasm and sincere courtesy. Their availability and attention to my every need made the entire long stay truly pleasant and comfortable. The apartment is located in a historic building and the rooms available to guests are furnished and equipped with attention to small details. The context is very comfortable and cozy, enriched by a precious terrace with a view of the rooftops of Genoa available to guests at any time of the day. A dream! Living in the heart of the city allows one to walk and admire the stunning beauties of majestic Genoa. Public transport is punctual and efficient. The cleanliness of the rooms is excellent, meticulous even in the most hidden corners of the room and bathroom. The linen is spotless and of high quality. I will always be grateful to Sabrina and Riccardo for the fabulous stay. I will return both for the beauties of the city and for the hospitality and welcome of the homeowners.

The bed and breakfast is located right in one of the most characteristic alleys in the center of Genoa. You go down and everything is within reach: tourist attractions, local eateries, bakeries, and various shops. The room and the bathroom are impeccable. Sabrina and Riccardo welcomed us and made us feel at home, and patiently guided us in discovering this poignant and superb city with its multiple styles, colors, and flavors that will amaze you at every corner or glimpse. Great room, very spacious. Very kind owners. In the city center close to everything and in a historic building, without an elevator though. Just a pity about the POS, nowadays receiving digital payments is possible at reasonable costs, so not having it is a drawback.

Siamo un piccolo b&b con solo due stanze e un pos in realtà ci sembrava veramente eccessivo, faremmo massimo 2 transazioni a settimana. I costi sono fissi per attivarlo e c è una percentuale per ogni transazione, è sempre molto soggettivo parlare di costi "adeguati", abbiamo scelto di fare dei prezzi più accessibili per i nostri clienti piuttosto che dare una percentuale alle banche. An excellent choice for staying in Genoa. The B&B is located in a historic building and has been beautifully restored. The room is large and beautiful, with a wardrobe and drawers, perfect lighting, and a desk, an important detail for someone like me who needs to write or use the pc in the evening. The B&B is really centrally located. I never took public transportation in 3 days, except to go to Boccadasse (which is quite a few kilometers away). Everything is very beautiful, clean, and well organized. I had the room with the bathroom separated from the bedroom, but for my exclusive use. It was not inconvenient at all. In the room, there is a kettle with cups and some herbal teas. Everything is new, very clean, and fragrant (which is very important to me). Sabrina welcomed me, with advice on where to dine and about the city in general. Maps and brochures are not lacking. Delightful Sabrina and delightful her breakfasts. Just agree with her on a time to have it, because she prepares it at the moment. If instead you do not want schedules, the B&B is so centrally located that you will find all the bars, clubs, and shops you desire. The property is on the fourth floor without an elevator, so the only contraindication is if you have mobility problems. Otherwise, if I return to Genoa, I will stay here again, a phrase I rarely write. Sabrina was also so kind as to keep my luggage the morning after check out, so I could continue to stroll in the city until the last moment. An excellent place, do not miss it, really.

How to feel at home! Lovely place just a stone's throw from the old port. Sabrina is very hospitable and prepares delicious breakfasts! I also recommend it in the presence of children. In the room there was a drawer full of games to entertain them.

The structure is very well maintained, the managers are very friendly and attentive to all the needs of the guests. In the bathroom there is a real hairdryer, toothpastes, soaps and even scissors in case someone forgot them. In the common room and in the room there are books for every taste and age. The breakfast, from the setting to the variety of offerings, was excellent. Definitely a place we would like to return to. My son Samuele would like to give it 5 stars!

Historic building in via della Maddalena a stone's throw from many attractions, both day and night. Friendly and helpful managers. Large room, with a comfortable bed. Excellent quality of sleep. Private bathroom but separated from the room, no hassle to reach it. Hot water, cleanliness, and fragrance. Quality faucets and sanitary ware. Structure comparable to a 3-star, but more economical. Breakfast was not included but coffee pods were available with two courtesy pastries and some confetti. Thank you for the welcome.

The B&B La Maddalena is located in a historic building, in the Sestiere della Maddalena, a lively area of the historic center of Genoa. A strategic point for visiting Genoa. However, the strong point of the B&B is the managers, who do this job with commitment and passion. We had very pleasant chats with them and they gave us some ideas for our tours in the city.

Great location to visit the Aquarium, the Maritime Museum, and the various points of interest at the old port. Breakfast was not provided (due to Covid) but the manager, very kind, provided us with a good coffee and a snack for the child every morning. The drawer full of toys was precious during the breaks of our stay in Genoa, a wonderful city where we can't wait to return!

The B&B La Maddalena is located in a historic building from the 17th century, the location is ideal to reach the most interesting places in Genoa on foot in a very short time. It's pleasant to get lost in the narrow streets among the local establishments and historical shops. Very clean, the managers are available, very kind and generous with advice and suggestions. I believe the quality-price ratio is unrivaled.

Riccardo welcomed us with courtesy. The B&B La Maddalena was very clean and welcoming. The lack of air conditioning is noticeable, but all in all we slept well. New and clean bathroom. Very kind and hospitable. Reserved. The location is strategic, close to everything, even the Minerva parking works well. The downside is the many steps. The floor of the room is semi-loose and the street is not very recommendable, especially at night. Otherwise satisfied.

The building where it is located is wonderful, the only flaw is that there is no parking but in Genoa it is practically impossible to park near the center. But a few steps are really worth it! I would say great even those who manage it are very helpful and kind.

The stay was really pleasant, the managers are fantastic and helpful, they make you feel at home and the breakfast is punctual and excellent for all tastes. The delicacies are handmade, there is nothing packaged and everything is truly delicious. The room was spacious and very clean!
