Surrounded by the lush greenery of the Morenic Hills, south of Lake Garda, the B&B Casa di Caterina welcomes guests in Monzambano, located in the province of Mantova. It enjoys a prime location amidst nature, history, and culinary traditions. The property is situated in an enchanting area, just a short distance from some of the region's most picturesque sites, such as Castellaro Lagusello and Borghetto, which are listed among the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy, as well as the scenic Mincio cycling path that connects Mantova to Peschiera del Garda.

Housed within a recently renovated 19th-century country home, the B&B retains the authentic charm of traditional rural residences while offering modern comforts. The three well-appointed and inviting rooms blend seamlessly into an intimate and atmospheric setting, perfect for those wishing to slow down and enjoy moments of relaxation amidst the tranquility and rolling landscapes.

The strategic location also allows for easy access to some of the area's most beloved destinations, such as Sirmione, Desenzano del Garda, Peschiera del Garda, and Verona, making it an ideal retreat for both those seeking peace and those eager to explore the cultural and natural wonders of Lake Garda and its surroundings.

Our breakfast will let you start the day with home-made biscuits and cakes, fresh bread and croissants from our baker, jams and fruit. The cakes are the classics of an Italian breakfast, like jam tarts, but also specialities of our area: Torta delle rose, Torta mantovana, Torta di San Biagio, Torta sbrisolona, Anello di San Luigi, "Ciottoli" biscuits. On request we can also prepare international breakfasts with cheese and cold meats, eggs and savouries.

We arrived late and left after breakfast, so we didn't get to fully enjoy the property and surroundings. Our room was cozy and clean, and we easily had the best variety for breakfast so far on our Italian trip.

The accommodation and the surroundings are very beautiful. There are plenty of good things to see around and it is not far from Sirmione. The host is extremely friendly. I always recommend staying in this hotel, but especially if your trip has a lot of general large hotel stays, I strongly recommend that you stay in this lovely Italian-scented hotel and feel beautiful Italy.

We booked two rooms at Casa di Caterina in mid-September. Our stay was very pleasant, the rooms were comfortable and clean, the breakfast was plentiful and the hot part (eggs) was made to our preferences. Margherita, the owner of the place, was very accommodating and always ready to help, whether with suggestions and reservations at the local restaurant for dinner or the breakfast time. The Casa is conveniently located in Monzambano, close to the highway and local points of interest. Sightseeing at Lake Garda is easily accessible. There was a little language barrier as we don't speak Italian, but the Google Translate app helped in this regard. Overall, it was a very nice stay; we will book again if traveling in the area.

Casa di Caterina was great from start to finish! It is a beautiful house in a beautiful landscape with very friendly owners that even drove me to the wedding I was there for. It was clean, the room was equipped with everything you need and even air conditioned. The breakfast was very delicious and typically Italian. The price I paid was absolutely fair and rather cheap than expensive. I loved it there. Thanks again Margherita, maybe we see each other again! Tim.

A beautiful old house but elegantly renovated. The entire south of Lake Garda is nearby if you have a car or bike. It's also a great place for hiking as the entire area is a treasure trove of natural beauty. Breakfast is amazing.

We had the pleasure of staying 3 nights at this wonderful bed and breakfast. Margherita & Caterina were just amazing hosts and they made our stay perfect and made us feel genuinely welcomed. They are born to do this and I can only wish them all the best. The location of the property was in a very idyllic and quiet area. Somewhere where, if I were a writer, I would go for inspiration or where I would recover from the usual stressful days. By car, it is within a close distance from a number of scenic villages where you can find amazing food and equally beautiful sights. Also close to the amazing Lake Garda. The room was spacious and very clean, and the bed was very comfy. The homemade breakfast was the cherry on top! I cannot praise and recommend B&B Casa Caterina enough, and I can't wait to return. Thank you for this amazing stay! Can't wait to return!

We chose this B&B based on the photos from the website and we were not disappointed. The house and the room are tastefully furnished, the place is pleasant and very quiet, the cleanliness is impeccable, and the level of comfort is satisfactory. As for the breakfast, it exceeded all our expectations! Margherita takes great care of her guests, she prepares excellent cakes every day and nothing is missing from the table. With such talent, she should run a guest table. In short, a place highly recommended!

I can highly recommend the Margherita B&B to anyone looking for a quiet accommodation. The hostess is very friendly and always strives to make guests feel at home. Perfect value for money. Very quiet and secluded house with a short distance to Lake Garda or other highlights. Rooms are clean, functionally furnished, and air-conditioned. Breakfast is lovingly prepared by the hostess and, in our opinion, good and sufficient. Margherita - the hostess - is very accommodating, kind, and informative. Cold drinks (wine, water, sparkling wine, beer, etc.) available self-service (refrigerator). We felt very comfortable and would gladly come back.

I spent some very nice days here. The landlady is super nice and the breakfast is absolutely amazing. Great selection and quality. Very quiet, somewhat remote location, which was okay for me. Water for showering was sometimes a bit cold and despite fly screens, there were always bugs in the room.

Very idyllic accommodation. Lovely room with additional seating area on the terrace. The location is very quiet and ideal for trips to Mantua, Verona, or Lake Garda. Two bicycles are also available, and the breakfast is truly exceptional, leaving nothing to be desired. Dinner at the accommodation is also excellent. We will be happy to come back.

We spent a few days at Casa di Caterina. The host Margarita and her daughter (who interpreted a bit) were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was very abundant and more than one could wish for. From homemade cakes to fruits, to cold cuts, cheese, and much more. Our room was clean and was additionally cleaned every day. The location was perfect for us as we prefer tranquility. We were completely satisfied and will definitely come back.

We loved it in every way. The room and the whole house are very nicely decorated, we even had our own small terrace area at the back where we could sit completely undisturbed. The owner and her daughter, who sometimes interpreted in English, are extremely warm, friendly, and helpful people who do everything to make the stay as pleasant as possible. The breakfast is phenomenal - abundant, very varied, with many fresh products and delicious homemade cake. We recommend Casa di Caterina 100%.

If you're looking for something typically Italian, this is the right place. Personal accommodation with a very kind hostess who offers an incredibly rich breakfast with homemade products like jam and various cakes, salty or sweet according to the guest's taste. The climate in the room was pleasant. Around there are some agricultural farms. Otherwise, beautiful view from the personal terrace and away from the hustle and bustle. The recommendation to go to dinner at the "4 gatti" was also worth it. Great wine and for those who want to eat local, this is the place. No standard pasta dishes or pizza.\n\nAlso, I found the accommodation super easy and relaxing at a good price. Our dog loved it too.\n\nWe would take this again.

Mozzambano is a village 10 km from Peschiera del Garda. The village is delightful. The B&B is very romantic and surrounded by greenery. Margherita, the owner, is a lovely person. I recommend this property to everyone.

We stayed for two nights at the end of August. The location is immersed in nature and the property is very well kept. The owner is very kind and helpful. Close to the Mincio, Lake Garda and Gardaland. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful. I would like to point out that fresh gluten-free pastries were purchased and gluten-free cakes were specially prepared to meet the needs of my celiac son, which is hard to find in other accommodations.

Two nights spent in serenity and tranquility. Kindness and courtesy are part of the place. Mrs. Caterina is very kind and always ready to solve any problem or request. We stayed for 5 nights in this extraordinary facility immersed in nature and tranquility. Spacious and comfortable room overlooking the green expanses. I booked one night between two days at the Movieland and Caneva parks and it was a perfect decision, away from the congestion of the lake yet easy to reach, an agricultural area but well-kept like a garden, room without flaws and a spectacular breakfast like in a four-star hotel.

Margherita is a wonderful host. She is particularly attentive to the guests. The property is immersed in greenery on the border with Veneto, a strategic point because in 15 minutes by car you can reach the main towns of Lake Garda and its attractions, such as Gardaland and Movieland, but also the Giardino Sigurtà, a gem to visit at least once in a lifetime. The room we stayed in, a triple, was very spacious, everything was super clean, fragrant, and welcoming. The bathroom was comfortable and spacious, with a window, mosquito net, toilet paper, and towels of all sizes, hand soap, and shower gel. A highlight is the large window that overlooks a small personal garden with a table and chairs, overlooking the green Mantovano hills. The breakfast was abundant and fresh every morning, with croissants from the bakery and many delicacies that Margherita prepares every morning with dedication. You can find American coffee, or Margherita prepares espresso and cappuccino upon request. There is a fridge with various drinks inside that can be purchased and water. The bed was soft and comfortable. Private parking for the B&B, spacious. Thank you Margherita for your hospitality, we hope to see you again soon. ❤️🌻

The structure is very beautiful and clean. Abundant breakfast with homemade products and healthy food. We stayed two nights in this establishment. A lovely place immersed in greenery, in peace and tranquility, surrounded only by the sounds of nature. Everything was clean and tidy, spacious and comfortable rooms equipped with everything you might need. In the morning, waking up was made even sweeter by the rich and varied breakfast with homemade cakes, fresh fruit, and much more. Margherita is an exquisite person, attentive and always available, who conveys love and passion for what she does, pampering her guests with kindness and discretion. The B&B is beautiful, well-kept, and very welcoming, immersed in the countryside and hills that offer enviable views in an environment rich in tranquility and greenery. A "refuge" from the routine of urban life that is still comfortably reachable in a few minutes at a very short distance from the center of the village of Monzambano, a town not far from the splendid locations on the shores of Lake Garda. The welcome, availability, and kindness of Margherita are excellent, just like the delicious cakes she prepares to "pamper" guests during the exquisite breakfasts ready to satisfy different needs and tastes. We hope to return to better enjoy the place, the sites, and the villages in the surroundings that the purpose of our stay and its short duration did not allow us to visit with the right calm and the attention they surely deserve.

We had a great time. Margherita (the host) very kind, discreet, and very helpful. Attic room and bathroom very clean. The room's furnishings are done with care and personality, as well as the entire common area. I really appreciated the kettle in the room with the possibility of making tea, coffee, herbal teas. Water available for free. Lots of paper information about the surroundings. The breakfast is rich in seasonal fruits and homemade cakes by Margherita. Delicious. Nice farmhouse located in a strategic position, especially for those like us who want to go to the lake one day and ride the Mincio cycle path the next day. Margherita, the very kind owner, also allowed us to check in early. Abundant breakfast with very good homemade pastries. I couldn't give more than 10 because it's not there! The farmhouse is in a very relaxing and quiet countryside location, a few kilometers from nearby villages (Borghetto, Valeggio, Peschiera, etc...), clean room and very well-kept in detail, exceptional breakfast with homemade sweets and a great variety, including fresh fruit. We stayed at Casa di Caterina for 4 days from December 7th to 10th, 2023. Already from the confirmation of the booking, all the care and kindness of Margherita were evident. The attention towards us then continued throughout the entire stay with tourist information and suggestions on where and what to eat. The property is immersed in nature, secluded but not far from the wonderful villages nearby. In a few minutes you can reach Castellaro Lagusello, Monzambano, Ponti sul Mincio, Borghetto sul Mincio, Pozzolengo and many other small towns rich in historical beauty. The surrounding countryside is an optimal place for walking and immersing oneself in the colors and scents of nature. Casa di Caterina turned out to be a magnificent place, enveloped in silence where the mind could enjoy a deep rest. Ecstatic.

If you want to unwind from the daily frenzy and let yourself be pampered by the tranquility of nature, here is the right place for you. The view extends over the greenery, our room opens onto the countryside, the breakfast is rich and varied. There is much to discover nearby, from art cities like Mantua and Sabbioneta, to the Sigurtà Park, Borghetto and Valeggio, Peschiera and Sirmione, and much more. We dined at excellent taverns recommended by Mrs. Margherita, always very kind and helpful. A place where it will be nice to return!

Margherita (the guest) is a lovely, helpful and friendly person. The room where we were hosted with my group is comfortable, the breakfast is genuine, complete and with many homemade products (exquisite jams and cakes). The place is off the beaten track, but by car it allows you to quickly reach the attractions of Lake Garda with the benefit of being immersed in the tranquility that the Mantuan countryside can offer. Stunning location, a structure immersed in greenery that offers a unique tranquility that awakens all the senses dulled by the chaos of the city. Mrs. Margherita, the B&B manager, is a delightful person. With her breakfast, all the products prepared by her, the various cakes and pistachio tiramisu accompanied by local cold cuts and cheeses, give you the right boost upon waking up to face the new day. Let's not forget that it is a stone's throw from Peschiera del Garda and Sirmione. Room cleanliness, I would say, almost maniacal like the whole structure. Highly recommended.

I stayed the weekend just after the quarantine at this Bed and Breakfast with my girlfriend for one night and we had a great time. Firstly, the location of the B&B is excellent, close to the main attractions and to a winery that produces excellent wines. Secondly, the owner is very kind and extremely helpful in making our stay pleasant. She prepared a great breakfast for us, I highly recommend her cakes and jams. The value for money is great, the environment is clean and Casa di Caterina is located in the middle of the countryside, where you can admire a beautiful panorama. I recommend it to you!

We stayed at the B&B Casa di Caterina for New Year's Eve and it was love at first sight. The structure is welcoming, located in the middle of nature and tranquility. The room was spacious, clean, and we immediately felt at home. Mrs. Margherita spoiled us with plentiful breakfasts and paid special attention to our preferences. What can I say, we are already thinking about when to go back! The location is great for visiting Verona, the province of Mantova with its beautiful hills and is a few kilometers from Lake Garda. Absolutely recommended.

Beautiful farmhouse on the hill with a beautiful view. New and well-kept rooms that remind of the Middle Ages, everything perfect. Abundant breakfast with a bit of everything, cheese, ham, homemade cakes, as well as jams, croissants, etc, etc. Caterina is very nice and friendly, makes you feel at home.

This is already the second time we have booked with Mrs. Margherita, an excellent landlady and cook, discreet but always available, her breakfasts are memorable as well as her hospitality. The house as well as the rooms are excellent both in terms of cleanliness and accessories and furnishings. Last but not least, the panorama of Campana, with its peace and tranquility. An excellent B&B, the best for those who want to visit amusement parks. With this, my wife and I want to renew a greeting and a hug from our daughter Brenda to the very kind landlady.

We stayed 4 days at this B&B during the Easter period. It is located in the countryside, on the gentle morainic hills, a suitable place for cycling tours. The structure is a recently renovated farmhouse, with all the comforts. Exquisite welcome and care of the guests by the owner. She prepares excellent cakes (a different one every day) and jams. But not only that, she also provides advice on places to visit in the surroundings; from her, we also bought tickets for the beautiful Sigurtà garden. Recommended.

The property is located in an old farmhouse expertly renovated and equipped with all modern comforts, nestled among the lush hills of the Mantuan countryside a stone's throw from the beautiful locations of Lake Garda and the historic sites of the Italian independence wars. Not to be amazed by the beauty of these places is truly difficult. Peace and tranquility reign supreme and the genuineness of the products served for breakfast by the very kind Caterina captivates you so much as to make detachment difficult. Weekend just spent and over (unfortunately). The structure (even if defined like that, doesn't really capture the romanticism of the scenery) represents exactly the lifestyle I would like to live, if there was the possibility of finding a job (any). The neighboring villages are rich in traditions and friendliness, perhaps precisely because of their location so far from all the "civilized" centers; literally in love with Castellaro Lagusello, a village located in the immediate vicinity, I highly recommend "Casa di Caterina" for anyone who really wants to detach from the exhausting daily routine of city life. I will definitely come back, without a shadow of a doubt, in fact, I'm saying to you (owner): can you find a job for me? Any, I really mean it. I would move without hesitation, just to live there. A hug and congratulations again for how you manage everything, with elegance and kindness!

Excellent structure in a natural setting that certainly does not leave one indifferent, my family and I immediately felt at ease. Very close to Lake Garda and at the same time to all the lovely villages located on the morainic hills, it offers amazing travel conveniences and the possibility to stay in a silence that is already worth a relaxing and rejuvenating trip. Mrs. Margherita is an exceptional person, I can't find other suitable words to describe her, and we take this opportunity to say goodbye to her with great affection. The breakfasts are a variety of delicious homemade pastries, the offered fruit is very fresh, and only with breakfast you can make it to the evening as it is so abundant and original. Highly recommended to anyone who loves to travel and appreciate what it really means to be hosted.

We had 3 wonderful days at Caterina's! Everything was top-notch, super clean, and the B&B is located in a wonderfully beautiful quiet spot, 20 minutes from Lake Garda and only 5 minutes from many nice restaurants and villages. In one word, fantastic!

Excellent location with fantastic breakfast. Too bad it was so hot, otherwise we could have done much more in the area. Restaurants nearby are easily accessible. Lake Garda is half an hour away. Mantua, the big city nearby, is more than half an hour away - a beautiful city with a lot to see. If you like gardens, there is a fantastic garden to visit just 10 minutes away by car.
