Nestled at the foothills of Mount Etna, our B&B is conveniently located just a few kilometers from Catania and the Ionian coastline, making it an ideal base to explore both the city and the main seaside and mountainous attractions. Our family home, a charming traditional country residence filled with positive energy, provides a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere that will make your stay memorable.

The stylish furnishings and spacious, comfortable rooms are enhanced by a lovely garden in the back, a cozy and romantic spot to unwind. Each morning, you can enjoy a hearty and authentic breakfast made with local and organic ingredients, perfect for starting your day on a delicious note. We prioritize sustainability along with cleanliness and hygiene to ensure you have a peaceful and enjoyable experience.

We are located at the entrance of Viagrande, an excellent starting point for discovering the area's wonders: from Mount Etna to the Ionian Sea, from Taormina to the village of Viscalori, known for the spring event "Viscalori in Fiore," dedicated to gardening and crafts. Thanks to our proximity to the CT-PA highway, you can easily reach many other tourist destinations.

With a deep knowledge of the region, we would be delighted to offer you advice on how to make the most of your vacation, treating you to thoughtful hospitality that will make you feel even more at home.

To start the day, guests can enjoy a rich and authentic breakfast of seasonal, organic products. Home-made bread baked in traditional stone ovens; jams and honey; organic seasonal fruits from the orchards around Mount Etna; cakes made with the flour from ancient varieties of cereals, and traditional pastries, freshly squeezed Sicilian oranges, all served in a cosy living room in winter, or in the shade of citrus fruit trees in the garden during the warmer months. On request we prepare Vegan breakfasts, gluten free or lactose free ones.

Four of us - two couples - stayed here when we were visiting the Benanti vineyards last June. For us, the location was great and the host, Susanna, even drove us to the wine-tasting nearby and back. It is easy to relax on the back patio or terrace, and breakfast was served on the lawn below. You can walk to a couple of places nearby and since it is near Viagrande's central street, you could walk into "downtown" if you wanted to. Next time we stay, we will take Susanna up on her offers of yoga in the garden and swimming in a nearby saltwater pool. I totally recommend staying here.

Susanna made us feel very welcome. She creates a calm and homely atmosphere. Our room (ensuite) was spacious. It led directly onto the patio and Susanna's lovely garden where we enjoyed her delicious homemade breakfasts - bread, cake, preserves, and plentiful supplies of coffee. We also appreciated the kitchenette which made it possible to eat in several nights. Susanna gave us excellent advice on places to visit including Catania, Taormina, and Mount Etna. She made it possible for us to spend a delightful day at a nearby outdoor pool. Having a car was helpful and there is easy parking outside the house. Overall, we would strongly recommend Velardi.

The Velardi B&B is a FANTASTIC place to stay. Our host, Susanna, was very communicative and helpful. The room was spacious and clean and air-conditioned (a necessity given that we were there during the hottest week of the summer). The bathroom was enormous and had a lovely shower that was lit from above with a skylight. Breakfast in Susanna's garden, a tucked away oasis, was magical: fresh fruit, granola, yogurt, juice, coffee, cookies, and homemade sweet breads. The B&B is located just a 5-minute walk from the central town square, convenient to restaurants and the workshop I was attending. Susanna helped to arrange for us: a guided tour of Etna, massages for my wife, a beach trip, and a tour of the Greek Theatre at Taormina--she couldn't have been more informative or helpful. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat--it gets my strongest recommendation.

The quality breakfast, with products made by the owner, is an added value. That being said, I highly recommend this place, especially considering the right price for the offer received. I had a beautiful stay.

Staying at Susanna's is like being welcomed into a warm and cozy embrace. Susanna is a caring and welcoming host who knows how to pamper her guests. Excellent structure that fully meets the expectations of those looking for a Bed and Breakfast located in a strategic position to enjoy the coolness compared to the Catania plain (the town is at the foot of Mount Etna), and to be close enough and well connected to Catania and the beaches in the area. I recommend it.

My partner and I spent 4 nights at Velardi B&B for work reasons. We had a great time and almost didn't want to leave. The structure is beautiful and clean, and Susanna is a kind and helpful host. The room where we stayed, The Spice Room, is quite large and well furnished, with a nice view of an internal garden. At night, the room is quiet and you can rest peacefully. During the day, it is also possible to have breakfast in the garden, just as we did thanks to Susanna. The internet connection works very well, and you can work comfortably with your own laptop from the room. The B&B is located near the center, a stone's throw from a supermarket and pharmacies, and is an excellent starting point to visit Mount Etna and its surroundings. What enhances the structure is the kindness and availability of Susanna, a true master of the art of hospitality. We had a great time, highly recommended!

Wonderful place! Susanna welcomed us in a very friendly way at her Bed and Breakfast, which is beautiful, very refined and located in a splendid position to visit Mount Etna, Catania, Acireale and many other wonderful locations. The rooms are very spacious, elegant and spotless! We were also pampered with a delicious breakfast served in her beautiful garden. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
