Palazzo al Torrione and Palazzo al Torrione 2 are charming bed & breakfasts located in a historic building along the ancient walls of San Gimignano, right in the heart of the old town. Their strategic location on a quiet street parallel to the main thoroughfare allows guests to enjoy proximity to monuments, museums, churches, restaurants, and shops, all while maintaining a sense of peace and relaxation.

The building has been fully renovated while respecting its original architecture, providing a unique experience. The room is spacious and clean, with all necessary amenities. It is very close to the bus stops and to the city center. I had a great stay.

There were lots of steps to climb through a narrow stairwell, but when we got to our floor, it had a nice feeling like an old world pension. The sheets and pillowcases were ironed. Everything was spotless. The room was small but adequate. We were able to open our window for fresh air and a view across the valley below which was wonderful. We chose not to buy breakfast there, but the owner brought coffee to our room every morning. There was cigarette smoking going on in the breakfast nook, the hallways and the stairwell, but the smoke didn’t seem to enter our room. Even though we were at one end of the village we were close to the shops and restaurants because the town is small.

This spot is such a gem! Our favorite town on our trip to Italy - Palazzo Al Torrione is the perfect spot to stay. Easy to find and such an accommodating staff. I would opt for a room for the terrace if you can get it -- well worth the upgrade.

Well protected old building and very well decorated, besides being very spacious as a hotel room. The location is also very good. Being in the center of an old town is pleasant.

Good location. Good breakfast. Easy check in and out. Clean, charming room and building. Not very comfortable bed. Would probably stay there again.

We were there with our bikes. We could store them in the garage and charge them. Within walking distance right into the city. Wonderful view. Everything great.

Property worthy of the 4 stars, located in the central position of San Gimignano, in a carefully restored ancient building. Small but comfortable room. Adequate services but not really suitable for those with mobility problems because it lacks an elevator (normal in these villages), even if you only have to walk up one floor. Very kind and helpful owner (among other things, the B&B is affiliated with nearby restaurants, where you can dine well, offering a 15% discount and with the closest parking at 200m). Varied breakfast with sweet and savory products. We were accommodated in the 'depandance', which is accessed from the adjacent door, so we had to go out and come back for breakfast (but it's not a problem). Furnishings, floors, and walls in harmony with the history of the village and the palace.

Palazzo Al Torrione is a bed and breakfast in the center of San Gimignano. The rooms are beautiful, clean, and just spacious enough, the bathrooms are large and functional. We had a room with a terrace that is worth the trip. The person who welcomed us was very kind and ready to answer our questions. I recommend it to those who want to stay right in the town.

The accommodation is as seen in the photos, it is located in the city center, has all the comforts and is very well furnished and decorated, I felt very good in this place, moreover the manager was very kind, he indicated places to visit in the city, he gave me precise answers to my questions and helped me solve some problems I had with another reservation, he was always attentive to me, I would definitely return to this place.

Great place to stay right in the center. The rooms are very clean and I can only thank the kindness of the managers who allowed us to postpone the check-out a little due to an important video call from my boyfriend. Highly recommended.

Well-maintained palace strategically located within the walls but on a street parallel to the main road, thus a bit quieter. The room we had, number 7, was large and very clean. We did not have breakfast but in some way we were aware of it. In the morning at 7.30, tables and chairs start moving and in the room, being downstairs, everything can be heard. The mattress was incredibly bouncy, so every time one moves, the other wakes up. You can also hear everything that happens in the corridor, but this often happens in various hotels. People coming in and out. The world is beautiful because it is varied and unfortunately, polite people are becoming fewer. Close the door gently and stay quiet until you go out on the street or downstairs. What is normal for me may not be for many. Nice B&B but I recommend using earplugs. I would change the mattress.

I stayed for 2 nights with my family, the property is really very beautiful, the furniture, the painting, the ceilings, everything; the owner is very kind. During booking, I had decided not to include breakfast, although it was possible, because I believe that 7.00 euros per person are too much.

The Palazzo Al Torrione Bed and Breakfast is located in the heart of San Gimignano, close to all the points of interest and at the same time just a few steps from the main parking area. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The owner is a lovely, very kind, and helpful person. The breakfast, both sweet and savory, is excellent. Absolutely recommended.

Structure in a very central location, friendly and affable staff. I suggest to the manager to send a map to guests before arrival, considering the location in a pedestrian area. I also found that when contacting our landline or mobile phone, different people always answer and the guest is given a sense of poor coordination.

Structure in the heart of San Gimignano, on a side street off the main street that crosses the village from Porta San Matteo to Porta San Giovanni. Very convenient. Beautiful historic building, well furnished and very clean. I didn't have breakfast because we were asked for an additional 7 euros on top of the accommodation cost and it seemed too much to us. The manager was quite helpful, even though we had to wait a bit for the check-in, despite being on time.
