Description Breakfast
Upon arriving in Lierna, you will easily find the B&B Le Ortensie, identifiable by its charming white gate that opens into a spacious garden filled with hydrangeas. The shaded and peaceful porch is the perfect spot to take a break after your journey and enjoy a refreshing drink surrounded by greenery.

Le Ortensie is a small and lovingly maintained B&B, where every detail is designed to make you feel at home. The hospitality is simple and heartfelt, enhanced by the owner's passion for the lake and swimming: it's not uncommon to find her at the beach, ready to join you for a swim or a moment of sunbathing.

Lierna is a lovely village overlooking Lake Como, renowned for its two beaches, Riva Bianca and Grumo. The B&B is located directly across from Riva Bianca, next to the picturesque medieval village with a small 13th-century church, where Mass is still celebrated on Saturdays. During the summer, the town comes alive with events and traditional festivals: in June, there’s "Le Cantine," a tasting journey featuring local wines and cheeses; "La Regina nel Castello," a historical reenactment of the Lombard period; and in July, "Agoni, polenta e musica," dedicated to lake fish and local flavors.

In the surrounding area, you can find fairs, fireworks, and culinary evenings in nearby villages. Just a few kilometers away are Varenna and Bellagio, the two jewels of Lake Como, easily accessible by boat or train, making for a perfect stay filled with nature, culture, and genuine hospitality.

Breakfast in the garden and on the terrace if the weather permits, or in the livingroom with lake view. Jams, butter mountain, eggs, yogourth, croissant, sweets according to the time and local products for those who also loves something salato. All accompanied by a fruit juice and milk, coffee or tea.

Pros: In front of the lake with a wonderful view. Clean, small room. Good breakfast. Cons: Because there are no parking spaces on the street, the owner asks for 8€ for parking in her house. I find this quite rude because there is a lot of space in her yard that doesn't cost her anything, but she asks guests for money because they don't have another option. The shower is really small and has curtains. No TV in the room.

Se vuoi parcheggiare all'esterno puoi trovare sicuramente a € 10.00 Il costo é espresso in tutte le mie informazioni e quindi forse non hai letto completamente. Nelle camere non esiste tv come del resto in tutta la villa. preferiamo altro e anche questo é scritto nelle informazioni Meglio leggere approfonditamente prima di prenotare. Dear Mustafa, the parking is paid for € 7.00( not €8,00) and is inside the villa. If you want to park outside you can certainly find it for € 10.00. The cost is expressed in all my information and therefore perhaps you have not read completely. There is no TV in the rooms as is the case throughout the villa. We prefer something else and this is also written in the information. Better to read carefully before booking

We stayed only 1 night as we were on a quick house hunting visit but the B&B Le Ortensie was clean and tidy. Unfortunately, we didn't have breakfast because we had a very early flight. Our host was very friendly and informative about the local area. Very good value for money.

I had to pay half of the price after the reservation. When I was leaving, she forgot I had already paid half of the price. So I almost paid 150%. And I had to pay another €10 extra for parking the car (which I did not know before). Otherwise, the place is just okay to stay the night, it is close to the lake so that is nice. The house is next to a train rail, not very nice when you try to sleep.

The house was very nice and the owner really pleasant. The breakfast was not great, just sweet. You can still hear the noise from the other rooms (toilet flush, shower, and conversations). Otherwise, the living room is really beautiful, and the beach in Lierna is better than many others in the area. Thanks again for the hospitality!

Parking is difficult (like everywhere at Lake Como); the train tracks are nearby, but there are no trains at night.

We stayed here for two nights while walking the trail of the wanderers. The structure is in an excellent location, although it is accessed via the main road, with a beach and nearby restaurants/bars. Room with private bathroom, equipped with the essentials, with the possibility of sitting outside with a table and chairs available. Good and varied breakfast. Owners are very kind and super helpful. Great experience!

Lovely place! Serene and relaxing atmosphere. You can smell not only the scent of the lake, which can be admired directly from the garden and through the windows of the residence, but also the scent of the culture that the host, a welcoming, attentive, empathetic, and helpful person in supporting guests during their stay, shares with them. Delicious and comfortable accommodation, lake view breakfast served with care and dedication; parking (optional) on site, definitely convenient. We will definitely return! Very pleasant experience! B&B Le Ortensie very comfortable to reach Varenna and also strategically located if you need the train. The owners kind and hospitable made us find the room ready and tidy, small but clean bathroom, excellent and rich breakfast, nice presence of the super cuddly cat Max. Only slightly negative aspects: limited parking space and the noise of the train when it passes but earplugs are provided for that. In any case, the coming and going of trains stops at 8 pm in the evening and then starts again in the morning around 6/6.30 so you can rest well. Nice experience!

B&B Le Ortensie is in a beautiful villa overlooking the lake: from the window of the living room/dining room there is a spectacular view. Furnished very nicely, with great taste and many cute details, as well as many additional services, including the kitchen that we could use to warm up our dinner. The living room/dining room also has a romantic fireplace, which we enjoyed in the evening in the company of the super cat Max. The room, super clean and with a private bathroom, had all the useful and charming accessories. Along with the room, we had access to the garden, where a space dedicated to each room was designed, with a small table and chairs, ideal for those who stay for several days or during the nice season. The owner was very kind in waiting for us and welcoming in all our small needs. We felt right at home. The breakfast, good and abundant, in the lake view room was beautiful. We take home the warmth of this structure, understood in an emotional sense.
