Le Antiche Volte is a bed & breakfast located in the Canavese region, born from a simple yet profound idea: when you realize that hospitality is a family trait, opening your home becomes the most natural way to share who you are. Here, every stay is designed as a meeting, a chance to convey warmth, authenticity, and that sense of familiarity that makes guests feel instantly at ease.
The journey began almost as a challenge: to breathe new life into the grandparents' house in Montalenghe, transforming it into a place that welcomes curious travelers and reveals a little-known area abundant in greenery, traditions, good food, and a leisurely pace of life. It is by viewing these surroundings through the eyes of those arriving from afar that one truly recognizes their uniqueness: clear skies where the stars shine brightly and roads that still weave through the countryside, connecting one village to another.
After a careful renovation, the house has become a small haven for those who appreciate slow travel: tourists seeking authenticity, families visiting relatives and friends, athletes drawn to new destinations, and couples looking to carve out serene moments. The rooms, simple and inviting, are designed to make you feel at home even when you are away, bringing back sounds, silences, and genuine atmospheres, while naturally encouraging the sharing of spaces and experiences.
The day begins with one of the most cherished moments: breakfast. A wake-up filled with delightful aromas and small treats prepared with care, such as freshly baked cookies and warm muffins, to give you a sweet and energizing start to your day.
Hosting here means “bringing the world into your home.” You will be welcomed with warmth and spontaneity, with the joy of guiding you in discovering the region, and with the satisfaction of knowing that, even for just a few days, Le Antiche Volte will have been a part of your journey.
Breakfast is the most important moment of the day for us, and we hope it is the same for you. We offer a simple breakfast, but rich in good and simple things.
Bread: only small rustic loaves from a nearby artisan bakery.
Jams: never less than 3, with visible and tasty pieces of fruit. Some are very traditional (apricots, cherries, strawberries), while others are somewhat unusual (rennet apples, pears and cinnamon, plums and vanilla, peaches and raspberries), depending on what the previous season has given us.
Coffee: no bar-style espresso, only the coffee maker at home.
Tea: we are true connoisseurs of this beverage, especially of green tea. We offer a lot of different types (green, classic black, flavored black, white)...it is difficult for us to serve it with milk or lemon, but we are willing to "turn a blind eye" for our guests.
Sweets: they are a "surprise"...but not before asking if you have any food intolerances or allergies. Our morning alarm is set according to the baking time of the muffins, cake, and biscuits that you will find on the table, and whose aroma you will smell as soon as you open the door of your room!
